Truman Showcase
Saturday, September 27, 2008

Open to all high school students, a Truman Showcase is a great way to kick off
the college search process for the academic year. You will be given the chance to
explore firsthand what we call the Truman Experience. At end of this full day, we hope
you will walk away with a firm understanding of why Truman is the right fit for you!

Tentative Schedule of Events

8:45-9:30 a.m. (Student Union Building)
Check In
Meet the Faculty Reception:
Professors and Deans from the academic divisions will be available to speak with you about degree programs offered, as well as provide you with literature regarding their disciplines.
Student Services Reception: Staff members will be available to discuss the various student services available at Truman.

9:30-10:15 a.m.
Student Performance
Welcome from the President
Admission and Scholarship Information Presentation

10:30 a.m.-12:20 p.m.
Academic Presentations
          Session I        10:30-11:20
          Break             11:20-11:30
          Session II       11:30-12:20
*At check in, you will receive a personalized schedule that will include room locations.

12:30-1:30 p.m.
Picnic Lunch: Picnic Lunch with faculty, staff, and students under the tent near the fountain.  Musical entertainment provided by a Truman Jazz Combo.

1:15-2:30 p.m.
Optional Campus Tours: Tours will depart every 5 minutes from 1:15 to 2:00 p.m.
Student Life Reception:
Students and staff will available to discuss various aspects of Truman student life, including Student Activities, Athletics, Study Abroad, and Residence Life.

2:30-3:30 p.m.
Tours of Residence Halls: Student-guided tours will depart periodically from the main lounge or hall desk area of the following buildings.  Please take this opportunity to explore several of the University’s living facilities.  All residence halls are co-ed facilities.
