What experiences have helped to support your role as a Truman faculty member?
I served in the Air Force for 27 years. I was given assignments as a judge advocate (JAG), a member of the Air Force academy faculty, Chief Circuit Trial Counsel (prosecutor) for the Air Force in Europe, and a tour as a military judge.

What are your research interests?
Preventive detention, jury selection

What do you like best about teaching at Truman?
Our students -- they’re bright, motivated, and selfless.

What has been your most memorable experience at Truman?
Having a student tell me that greeting him in the hallway always brightened his day.

What has presented you with the greatest teaching challenge?
Knowing when my students don’t understand the material.

How do you get acquainted with students at Truman?
In the weight room at the Student Recreation Center.

What graduate schools are some of your former students attending?
Several law schools including, U of MO-Columbia, UMKC, Washington U, UMKC, and Washburn. PhD program at University of Florida. MPA at U of MO-Columbia.

What do you do for fun in Kirksville?
Hunt and Fish

How would you describe life in Kirksville to a friend?
friendly, helpful friends and neigbors, low cost of living, low crime rate, great place to raise a family
