Truman’s affordability is further enhanced by one of the most generous scholarship programs in the nation. Approximately 94 percent of first-time freshmen are awarded Truman scholarships while 97 percent are awarded either Truman scholarships and/or federal financial aid.
Students can choose from more than 40 areas of study including Physics, Accounting, Russian, Art History, Health Science, Communication Disorders, Psychology, Computer Science and a new major in Interdisciplinary Studies for those who are looking for even greater flexibility to satisfy their diverse interests. These majors are complimented by 45 minors, including a new minor in Environmental Studies.
Faculty are selected for their ability to teach as well as their achievements in their chosen fields. With an average class size of only 22 students, there is ample opportunity for significant interaction in the classroom. Faculty encourage students to engage in research while at Truman to further enrich the undergraduate experience. Truman’s commitment to offering students the best possible undergraduate preparation results in over 99 percent of Truman graduates who reported post-graduation plans being placed in professional employment or graduate school within six months of graduation!
